1. General Meeting with Ford Motor Company
* When: Tuesday October 28, 2008 at 6:45 p.m.
* Where: Mechanical Engineering Building 135
Join ASME at its next general meeting, sponsored by the Ford Motor Company. Learn how Ford is changing their business by using global resources and by applying engineering disciplines and new technologies to produce class leading products.
Company representatives will also be speaking with interested students regarding summer internships, following their presentation.

2. Tech Elective Night
* When: Tuesday November 4th at 6pm TENTATIVE
* Where: Deere Pavilion in MEL
Come learn about what exciting tech electives will be offered next semester. Several professors will be talking about what their course covers and why it would be good for you to take.
The date is TENTATIVE because the department has not finalized the course list yet. Please keep a lookout for more information and flyers will be posted.

* When: Saturday November 8, 2008 from 12-3PM
* Where: John Deere Pavilion in MEL
The ASME-AOE Women's Conference is a chance for women in all branches of engineering to discuss the unique challenges they face in graduate school and the corporate world.

5. Caterpillar Plant Visit

Departure time to be announced
Join Caterpillar company representatives on a tour of the Decatur Manufacturing Facility and dinner afterwards. The entire duration of the visit, including travel and dinner is estimated at around 5 – 5.5 hours. More information to come at tomorrow’s general meeting.
